Abstract
Summary
“Cell poor” and “cell rich” sweat samples from 25 normal subjects have been analyzed (total of 118 determinations). The iron content of “cell poor” sweat was negligible. On the other hand “cell rich” sweat contained a high concentration of iron. This iron loss is not an essential function of the process of sweating, but is associated primarily with desquamation.
