Summary
Rats under the influence of an alarming stimulus (formalin injection) showed decrease in thyroid function, the latter evidenced by diminished uptake of 1-131 per milligram of thyroid tissue. Desoxycorticosterone acetate and adrenal cortical extract failed to influence thyroid uptake of 1-131 significantly.
