Summary
The duration of insulin-induced hypoglycemia is reduced following the administration of nicotinamide and α-ketoglutaric acid to insulin treated chick embryos. Nicotinamide, which is the more effective in preventing insulin-induced abnormalities, is also more effective in decreasing the duration of the hypoglycemia.
