Abstract
Summary
1. Measurements of cerebral blood flow, oxygen consumption and cerebral vascular resistance were made in two patients with coarctation of the aorta. The resistance to blood flow through the brain is found to be within the normal range.
2. This is in contrast with the increased cerebral vascular resistance of essential hypertension.
