Abstract
The cross was made in only one way, viz., white Leghorn females × White Plymouth Rock males. The chicks were white with sometimes a few black spots. They developed into white birds, with a few black spots. Later the surface color became dulled owing to the development of minute spots of pigment. At the same time, faint bars developed in some birds though they were wanting in others. F2 contains white, black, gray and barred chicks, the last exactly like those of Barred Plymouth Rocks.
