Conclusion
Studies upon the rate of development of riboflavin deficiency and the response to therapeutic doses of riboflavin, after the development of the deficiency syndrome, failed to show any significant difference in the riboflavin requirement of the alloxan diabetic and the non-diabetic rat. Similarly, riboflavin deficiency was apparently without effect upon the development of cataracts in the diabetic animals.
