Protein-bound iodine was decreased in the liver and increased in the thyroid after reticuloendothelial cell block; increased production and storage of thyroxine is indicated by the data presented. 2. Hepatic vitamin A was not affected by the experimental conditions, although serum vitamin A was decreased. 3. The bearing of these results on those of hypervitaminosis A is briefly considered.
