Abstract
Summary
1. The administration of a nonlipid, casein-supplemented ration to resistant Swiss albino mice retarded the progress of experimental tuberculosis. 2. Experimental tuberculosis was also retarded by the administration of the ration to which 20% of the total fatty acids of coconut oil had been added. 3. Olive oil, linseed oil, and oleic acid enhanced the progress of experimental tuberculosis when these compounds were added to the ration in a concentration of 20%.
