Summary
1. Hyaluronic acid is apparently not responsible for the increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate of blood from patients with rheumatic fever and rheumatoid arthritis. 2. Sodium salicylate failed to inhibit the effect of hyaluronidase on elevated E.S.R. produced in rabbits by the intravenous injection of sodium hyaluronate.
