Summary
Curare, which affects the electrical activity of the brain has also a distinct effect on the temperature in the brain in combination with pentobarbital narcosis. These temperature changes in the brain indicating changes of oxidation processes are increased by curare under light pentobarbital narcosis, and decreased under deep pentobarbital narcosis. This latter central action may be involved in the synergistic narcotic effect.
