Abstract
Summary
For performance of intrathoracic operations on the rat pentobarbital sodium and scopolamine were found to be effective anesthetic agents. A plastic intratracheal tube was devised for use in such operations and has proved to be satisfactory. A simple water valve apparatus for administration of oxygen under positive pressure was devised for use with the intratracheal tube.
