1. Folic acid (pteroylglutamic acid) is as effective as liver extract in correcting the hematologic deficiency in Addisonian pernicious anemia. 2. Further experience is needed before one can evaluate the effectiveness of this factor in preventing development and progression of central nervous system disease.
