Abstract
Summary
The injection of alloxan in dosage of 300 to 600 mg per kg of rat was followed by a definite decrease in the alkaline phosphatase of the kidney. With the 600 mg dosage this enzyme was reduced 50% or more. The decrease in the renal phosphatase obtained by chemical analysis was roughly paralleled by the reduction demonstrated his-tochemically.
