Summary
In 10 of 15 patients with elevated sedimentation rates, suffering from nonrheumatic and rheumatic disorders, the sedimentation rate and concentration of fibrinogen decreased following salicylate therapy. It is suggested that the change in the fibrinogen may represent an effect of salicylate on the liver.
