Conclusions
“Carboxythiazole” (2-sulfan-ilamido-5-carboxythiazole) is poorly absorbed after oral administration to man and produced no toxic symptoms in 5 patients receiving 4 g initially and 1 g every 4 hours for 3-15 days. The drug may be useful in the treatment of enteric infections and in boweI surgery.
