The F 2 Excretion of Normal Men on Different Levels of Niacin Intake. *

Summary

F₂ analyses have been made on the urine of normal young men who were maintained on controlled niacin intakes. The method of Najjar showed no difference in the F₂ excretion of 2 groups whose intakes over a period of 161 days averaged 12.4 and 22.4 mg of niacin per day. There was no difference in the F₂ excretion of 2 groups maintained for 32 days on intakes of 0.12 and 10.12 mg of niacin per day when the method of Huff and Perlzweig was used for the determination.
