Summary
1. The amount of choline hydrochloride to kill the average rat (LD50) is greater the more dilute the solution in which it is injected intraperitoneally.
2. Expressed as mg per 100 g body weight, the LD50's are as follows: 29-34 for a solution containing 200 mg of choline per ml; 37-38 for a solution of 100 mg per ml; 41-49 for a solution of 40 mg per ml; and 59-75 for a solution of 20 mg per ml.
