Summary

1. The amount of choline hydrochloride to kill the average rat (LD₅₀) is greater the more dilute the solution in which it is injected intraperitoneally.

2. Expressed as mg per 100 g body weight, the LD_50's are as follows: 29-34 for a solution containing 200 mg of choline per ml; 37-38 for a solution of 100 mg per ml; 41-49 for a solution of 40 mg per ml; and 59-75 for a solution of 20 mg per ml.
