Abstract
Summary
Culture filtrates of a certain strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis grown on a synthetic medium containing high concentrations of p-aminobenzoic acid, contain considerable amounts of the unidentified vitamins (B10 and B11) which promote growth and feathering in chicks. The synthesis of these vitamins by the microorganism is definitely stimulated by the presence of high concentrations of p-aminobenzdic acid in the medium.
