Summary
Observations on 44 dogs submitted to standardized bleeding and reinfusion procedures which induce irreversible hemorrhagic shock showed that the survival period following reinfusion of heparinized blood is definitely extended by a hypothermic state, but with one exception all dogs succumbed.
