Summary
The suitability of press juices prepared from waste asparagus butt trimmings as a source of the major components of media for culturing certain microörganisms of potential commercial importance has been indicated. The use of such media for the production of certain antibacterial substances and proteolytic enzymes appears to have particular promise.
