Conclusions
1. The volume of the adrenal of mature male rats of the Yale strain (rats with a reduced glucose tolerance) is significantly greater than that of the controls. 2. There is no significant difference in the volume of the medulla of the two strains. 3. The larger volume of the adrenal of the Yale rats is therefore due to the larger volume of the cortex.
