Conclusion
The subcutaneous injection of diethylstilbestrol dipropionate either alone or in conjunction with testosterone propionate will stimulate udder and teat growth and initiate and maintain lactation in nulliparous dairy heifers. A nursing calf may aid in bringing about full lactation in heifers prepared for lactation by hormone administration.
