Monkeys on a vitamin B-free basic diet, supplemented by riboflavin, thiamine chloride, nicotinic acid amide, calcium pantothenate, pyridoxin hydrochloride, sodium paraminobenzoate, choline chloride, pimelic acid, glutamine and inositol, developed a striking granulopenic leucopenia, and manifested a markedly lowered clinical to spontaneous infections with creased in mortality. The susceptibility to experimental infections with Streptococcus hcmolyticus, Group C, and to influenza virus A, administered intranasally, was likewise inresistance contrast with the controls on norhigh mal diet.
