1. Mice inoculated intramuscularly with Cl. welchii and treated orally with sulfonamides responded best to sulfa-diazine (sulfadiazine 93.4%, sulfathiazole 79.6%, sulfapyridine 46.4%, and sulfanila-mide 13.8% survival).
