Abstract
Summary
The intraperitoneal injection of bile results in the production of convulsive seizures in rats up to 10 days of age and not thereafter. The intracerebral injection of bile produces convulsions in adult rats. The hypothesis is developed that young animals are more susceptible to convulsive seizures because of an inherent cerebral dysrhythmia and a deficient hematoencephalic barrier.
