Abstract
Summary and Conclusions
1. Mesobilirubinogen added to both urobilin-free and urobilin-containing bile was converted at least in part to d-urobilin. No evidence of stercobilin formation was obtained. 2. Mesobilirubinogen added to bile and acholic feces was converted at least in part to d-urobilin. In one instance the addition of acholic feces to urobilin-free bile was instrumental in the development of d-urobilin.
