Conclusions
Since pancreatectomy has been shown to abolish the hypoglycemic response of the adrenalectomized animals to anoxic anoxia, it may be concluded with Gellhorn that anoxia normally stimulates the parasympathetic (insulin response) as well as the sympathetic (adrenal response) system.
