Abstract
Summary
In the mouse and rat an interstitial myocarditis, of which the cellular infiltration is in part eosinophilic, results from the intraperitoneal injection of neoprontosil and certain other drugs of the sulfonamide group. This myocarditis is histologically similar to that observed in the hearts of humans dying after the administration of these drugs.
