Abstract
Conclusions
Lowering the temperature of new-born rats during irradiation increased the resistance of the skin so that a dosage increase of 1200–1700 r was required to produce an injury comparable to that of animals rayed at room temperature. The ratio of dosage required at low temperature to the dosage at room temperature decreases from 5 (at 1500 r—cold) to 2.2 (3300 r—cold).
