Under the conditions of these experiments, the growth rates of the transplanted Marsch Buffalo Adenocarcinoma, of the transplanted A carcinoma were not significantly altered when: (1) heptaldehyde and n-heptaldoxime were dissolved in the ethyl esters of lard and injected intraperitoneally; (2) the bisulfite addition compound of heptaldehyde was injected subcutaneously. The oral administration of heptaldehyde and of pelargonic aldehyde was also without influence on the progress of the transplanted Marsch Buffalo Adenocarcinoma.
