Abstract
Summary
In continuation of our work on the detection of hidden abscesses, a study of the localization of brominated derivatives of the dye T1824, in abscess tissue and organs was made. The mono-brominated dye was found to be best suited for future study. It was concentrated to a much lesser degree in liver, kidney and spleen and to a somewhat higher degree in the abscess than the di- and tetra-brominated compounds. The mechanism for the localization of the dye derivatives based on physico-chemical processes is discussed.
