Conclusions
The observation that the secretion of the thyroid exerts an antagonistic effect on the ovarian response of certain gonadotropic principles agrees with our assumption of the identity of the thyrotropic factor with the pituitary interstitial cell stimulating hormone (1CSH or LH) and suggests a possible explanation for the mechanism of the antagonistic properties of the ICSH.
