Summary
Chicks receiving avitaminosis A and pellagra-like “F” rations failed to show normal prothrombin coagulation time. The plasma prothrombin clotting time was greatly delayed in these avitaminotic chicks without the distinct hemorrhagic tendency of a vitamin K depletion manifesting itself.
