Summary
Progesterone as well as cortical extract raised the liver glycogen levels of intact fasting ferrets. Pseudopregnancy probably enhanced the effectiveness of progesterone. In a small number of rats cortical extracts had similar effects, while progesterone, testosterone propionate and stilboestrol gave little if any response.
