Summary
A method is described for dehydration (in vacuo) of salted-out fibrinogen for “stock” usage of the protein in coagulation studies. Modifications of the method of preparation are considered with a view to (a) lessening denaturation, (b) making the preparation available for biochemical analysis of its protein content, and (c) preparing it free from all traces of prothrombin.
