Summary
It was found possible to localize atrophy of the cerebral cortex in schizophrenic patients by comparing the alpha (10 per second) rhythms of the various regions of the two hemispheres with each other. The findings were confirmed by pneumo-en-cephalography in 8 out of 9 patients.
