Summary
Old Tuberculin when administered subcutaneously in large amount both before and during experimental tuberculous infection in guinea pigs, confers no demonstrable immunity. The view that the immunity that persists after desensitization by tuberculin is a result of the treatment is, therefore, not a valid one.
