Abstract
Conclusion. Glutathione, thiochrome, flavin, nicotinic acid, betaine and glucosamine, in the presence of a calcium-alcoholic precipitate of a highly purified liver extract,∗∗ are clearly significant for the growth of the Dochez NYS strain of hemolytic streptococcus in a deficient medium. The presence of all these factors provides almost optimum conditions: omission of one or more decreases the amount of growth.
