Summary
A study has been made of the germination of wheat seeds (Triticuwz z~dgavc) in 14.80j0, 38% and 94% deuterium oxide, and ordinary water for control, under as nearly identical conditions as possible. In all cases the seeds germinated and no macroscopical differences could be detected. No significant differences were observed in the respiratory rates of the seeds in ordinary and heavy water during the first and second days of germination.
