Summary
1. Adrenalectomizetl, Iwt not normal rats are sensitive to trauma and usually die from n~oderate tissue injury. 2. Injection of normal saline is effective in protecting shocked rats from death. 3. The toxemia theory of shock explains this susceptibility of adrenalectornized rats to injury.
