Summary
Mice were given a lethal dose of X-radiation and protected with marrow cells from young or old donors. Four to six months later femur mass was determined. Femur mineral mass was decreased when marrow cells from old mice were transplanted into young or mature recipients and increased when young marrow cells were given to aging mice.
