Abstract
Summary
Antigenic stimulation by infection was more effective than immunization with inactivated vaccine in evoking a variant-specific serum antibody response. In both groups, occurrences of such a response could not be associated with the height of postex-posure antibody titer or absence and/or presence of preexisting antibody to homologous and heterologous viruses.
