Summary
Elevated TSH levels are highly reliable in predicting neonatal lamb hypo-thyroidism. However, the method is not as sensitive as serum TSH measurement, and mild hypothyroidism can exist with normal amniotic fluid thyrotropin and elevated serum TSH.
