Abstract
Summary
The effects of five human body fluids on human fibroblast interferon (MSF-IC) and human leukocyte interferon (WBC-NDV) are reported. After 24 hr at body temperature, WBC-NDV is significantly more stable than MSF-IC in cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and serum. After 4 hr at 37°, leukocyte interferon is significantly more stable in urine and appears more stable in bile. These findings may be useful in the choice of an exogenous human interferon for clinical studies.
