Summary
Isoxazole-14C, a potent inhibitor of 3β-hydroxy-δ5-steroid oxidoreductase, injected into nursing pups is naturally transferred to their mother where it is retained, for at least a month, in ng quantities in the adrenals and ovaries and results in adrenal, ovarian, preputial and pituitary enlargement.
