Abstract
Summary
A tissue-planing method has been adapted to separate proliferative and mature cells from stomach, distal colon and jejunum of rat. New mounting blocks have been designed to enable positioning of the tissues for the separation process. Movement of thymidine labeled cells from deeper to superficial layers of mucosa and changes in thymidine kinase activity have been observed in cells separated from stomach, jejunum and colon.
