Summary
Urine and serum from 18 patients with chronic granulocytic leukemia have been tested for ability to stimulate granulocyte bone marrow colony growth in vitro. The colony stimulating activity (CSA) in urine of these patients varied from very high to very low with mean levels greater than that of normal humans. There was no correlation between CSA and peripheral white blood count or clinical course of the disease.
