Abstract
Summary
The presence of endogenously blocked high affinity estradiol receptors in rat uterine tissue was determined by an exchange binding assay in supernatants previously saturated with unlabeled estradiol. Compared to determinations of free receptor sites, this technique indicated that up to 60% of receptor capacity in mature rat uterine tissue might be blocked by endogenous estrogen.
