Abstract
Summary
The in vitro effect of insulin on glycosaminoglycan synthesis was studied using d-[6-3H] glucosamine in 10-day embryonic chick skin. Insulin stimulated both the total incorporation of glucosamine and glycosaminoglycan synthesis. Stimulation of glycosaminoglycan is specific for hyaluronic acid.
