Summary
The present investigation involving PAH uptake by rabbit kidney slices has shown (1) confirmative evidence that PAH uptake is an active process; (2) confirmative evidence that PAH uptake is dependent upon the presence of Na; (3) the Km for PAH uptake is independent of the concentration of Na in the medium; and (4) the V max for PAH uptake is directly proportional to the Na concentration in the medium.
